Client: I write this letter to ask you and your firm for your co-operate to provide service to our Company wishes to set up its Representative Office in Vientiane, Laos PDR.
Therefore, we highly appreciate if you can send us your proposal on setting up Representative Office of Vietnamese Company in Laos PDR
with some clarification on our queries as below:
1) the required documents that our client must prepare in Vietnam
(whether it should be notarized and legalized or not);
2) the documents will be drafted by your side;
3) requirement on chief of Representative Office;
4) regulations on tax, bank account, seal of Representative Office;
5) your service fee (what will be included, and what amounts that our
client must be paid outside your service fee).

Lawyer: Referring to our fee proposal, our services proposed to you are Pre-Business Establishment and (ii) Establishment of Representative Office. Our professional fee is capped at 6,000 USD for Pre-Business Establishment and 5,500 USD for the Establishment of Representative Office.
Therefore, the total amount of our professional fee is capped at 11,500 USD.
Please kindly note that this is our standard rate. The actual professional fee chargeable for the services shall be based on the hourly rates of the lawyer’s actual performance as specified in our fee proposal.
This means that if the actual professional fee chargeable is less than 11,500 USD, you will be charged at such actual amount.
However, if the actual professional fee chargeable exceeds 11,500 USD, you will be charged at 11,500 USD only.
Regarding the translation fee of 100 USD per 1 page (A4), please note that this is also our standard rate. However, the translation will be required only upon the officers’ or the client’s request. Therefore, the translation will be made only when necessary.
