Question: We are foreign investors, can we set up an architectural firm under the form of Joint Venture company ? What are the conditions and requirement ? Is there a minimum investment to do the first year?
Answer: The Architectural firm can be formed under Joint Venture. the Joint Venture form is better or not up to you because all the regulations shall be applied to the Joint Venture are same with 100% foreign owned company.
In case you want to has entire control, you should chose the form of 100% foreign owned enterprise.
With regard to the minimum capital to do the first year, there is not any requirement. in Vietnam regulation, the compulsory time schedule on implemented capital is maximum 36 months from the setting up. the detail schedule is up to investor’s registration.
However, the foreign owed companies used to register the time schedule for contribute the implemented capital is within one year.
