Question: I have a small problem which I want your advice. We have a number of products which our “product name” and the actual “registered name” differ from each other.
So my questions are in two parts.
1. For upcoming export (this week), what should we state on the export documents? Do you think that the Vietnamese customs would accept the “a.k.a.” names?
2. In a long run, is there any way that we can add the “a.k.a.” names in the official registrations?
Answer:
1. In Vietnam, the product name must be identical to registered name. Vietnamese Custom shall not accept “a.k.a” names.
2. In the future, you must register the name which shall appear in the Product’s Label.
